Creating a campaign can be daunting, but there are some simple ways to break it down and make it more approachable.
Assessment
When developing a campaign for Rad Shirts Custom Printing, I started by assessing their overall brand. In this process, I familiarized myself with their brand origin and goals, looking at organic content, and finding out if they use paid ads.
S.M.A.R.T. Goals
Next, I targeted their weak areas and ideated ways in which they could strengthen and grow. The result was a list of S.M.A.R.T. goals that will help them increase sales, increase brand recognition, and expand the target audience. The S.M.A.R.T. goals that I developed are:
- Increase weekly traffic to the website by 10% via promotion on all social media accounts in three months
- Create a TikTok account and gain 1,000 followers in two months
- Introduce once weekly video content for Instagram reels and TikTok that shows behind-the-scenes processes and respond to all comments
These goals target each area that I want to improve in realistic ways. They also set a foundation for successful social media and brand growth.

Takeaways
The most important thing to remember about creating a campaign is that the goal is not just to have successful social media but to use social media to support the business. There are thousands of ways to present a company on social media, and there is never a single correct answer. It is vital to find ways to express the company’s beliefs authentically to help them reach their broader goals.
Working on this campaign was an excellent reminder that no matter what company I work for or my role, I am part of a whole and that we all have the same goal, even if our ways of supporting it are different.
